About
Clay Work Studio offers classes to everyone ranging from K12 and beyond. Most of our classes are projects based on age and skill level. We offer a variety of fun workshops or single class "projects" such as wheel throwing workshops. We love setting up one-time classes for special occasions or just a fun time out. If you would like to work on your own projects at Clay Work Studio , our space is available for rent on a monthly bases (supplies are included).

[Early Fall 2026] Hand-Building Class
A six-week hand building course for all skill levels. Students in hand-building classes will learn various hand building techniques such as slab building, pinching, coiling, and other tool assisted building methods.

3D Clay Printing (Adult)
A new six-week course to learn the basics of 3D modeling software, how to prepare a 3D model for printing, and how to use the studio clay 3d printer. We will also cover why to choose 3D printing as opposed to other clay techniques.

Adult Parties
Adult participants will be rotating between wheel-throwing and hand building in groups greater than 11 people. Beer, wine and food are welcome. Food delivery can be arranged.

Children's Birthday Parties
Creative and memorable birthday parties at Clay Work Studio. Include one clay project per person. You may specify a particular project such as a mug or a bowl.

Corporate Team Building
Bring in a group from the office or have us create a specific workshop for you! Specifics and fees will be discussed according to the type of activity.

Figurative Sculpture (Adult)
An eight-week studio course that will introduce and develop skills to sculpt a human figure. Working from a live model, students will learn to translate what they see into accurate representation in the life-size clay form.

Hand Building (Adult)

Independent Studio Potter Program
Work on personal projects in our large and brightly lit space with fast kiln turnaround times and shelves for storage of larger projects. Like taking an independent studies course at school or a mentoring program. You are under supervision. Lee is on hand for help and guidance.

One-Time Class (Adults only)
Individuals are welcome to sign up for a One-Time class for special occasions or just fun time out. We offer 2-hour sessions for wheel throwing or hand building.

Pottery Surfaces (Adult)
A six-week course for intermediate students who wish to embellish their forms. Open to wheel throwers, hand builders and sculptors. Composition, style and design basics will be discussed throughout. A variety of 2D and 3D techniques for greenware and bisqueware will be introduced.

Weekly Summer Camp 2026
A one-week program for children ages 8-18. Campers will work on a variety of projects throughout the week that they can take home 2-4 weeks after the session.

Youth Class
A monthly-tuition based class for youth ages 8-17 of all skill levels. The youth class introduces basic building techniques with playful projects, such as whistles (pinching), functional cups and plates (soft and hard slab building) and larger scale vases (coil building), etc.
